Eric Snidersich, BS EMT-P
EMS Manager
SVMCA

Eric came to the Saginaw Valley Medical Control Authority after serving many years in EMS. Oddly enough, EMS was not his first choice in careers. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from 1988 through 1994 and served as a Satellite Operations Specialist with the Air Force Technical Applications Center. While still enlisted, he decided to serve his community in Brevard County, Florida and volunteer at Harbor City Ambulance Squad. Initially, he volunteered as an Ambulance Attendant and found the patient care to be an interesting challenge. He became licensed as a Florida EMT in 1990 and then in 1992 as a Paramedic after graduating from Brevard Community College’s EMS program. In 1994, when his Air Force obligation was fulfilled, Eric came back to Michigan to start his full-time EMS career.

Eric immediately transferred his license to Michigan and started working for Pulse EMS in Genesee County. Pulse was soon acquired by Paramed in Oakland County and then American Medical Response where Eric became a supervisor in both Oakland and Genesee Counties. In 1998, Eric began an almost 10 year career at Mobile Medical Response, Inc. in Saginaw County. During that time, he was a full-time Paramedic Supervisor for eight years and also worked part-time for St. Mary’s of Michigan FlightCare as a Flight Paramedic. In 2005, he finally graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Adminstration.

In October of 2008, Eric joined the SVMCA family. As the EMS Manager, he is tasked with many duties. All of these duties will hopefully lay the foundation for an EMS system that is progressive and responsive to the providers and the communities that they serve. Eric looks forward to developing new policies, protocols, studies, and quality assurance programs that will help to elevate the SVMCA as a premiere EMS system in the State of Michigan.
